 MoraCo Imports provides exclusively handcrafted home decor items by artisans
in Morocco. The company was established in 2007 by Nawal Mesrour and
aims to provide authentic Moroccan decor that strongly appeals to customers
through its distinct quality and design.
Nawal was born in the US, to Moroccan parents. She was raised in southern
Spain and visits Morocco regularly. Having spent a substantial amount
of time living in three very different societies, the intermingling of
cultures has always felt quite natural and genuine to Nawal. She has
always felt inspired to share her understanding and experiences, and
it is precisely this inspiration that has fueled the enthusiasm behind
MoraCo Imports. Proof of this can be found in the store’s name.
“Mora” is the word used in Spain to refer to a Moroccan woman,
and it serves as a small symbol of the company’s philosophy of
embracing cultural fusion.
